Pulmonx

EMPHYSEMA

Emphysema is a common chronic pulmonary disease, which is associated with rupture of thin walls that separate air sacs (alveoli) in lungs due to their tensioning and stretching and accordingly, lack of flexibility in lungs and which results in respiratory failure.

As bonds between air sacs are ruptured, lungs that expand for inhalation do not exhale and some air is left inside them. As a result, air entry into lungs and oxygen balance are disrupted.

ENDOBRONCHIAL VALF

Pulmonx Endobronchial valve treatment has been successfully applied to tens of thousands of patients in many world-renowned centres and applied to hundreds of patients by the most distinguished doctors of our country in the most important hospitals since 2009.

Pulmonx Endobronchial valve treatment is a reversible treatment in any stage of the treatment, if necessary.

Pulmonx Endobronchial Valves are composed of Nitinol Retainer (Cage) and duck mouth silicone membrane.

When Pulmonx Endobronchial Valves are placed onto the related lobe, they work in a uni-directional way and allow for discharge of compressed air from isolated lung segment during exhalation, however, it does not allow for filling it with air during inhalation. In each respiratory cycle, compressed air within the targeted lung segment is reduced even more.

Thus, it completely eliminates complaints of the patients in a very short time.

CHARTIS
SYSTEM

Chartis system is used both for detecting collateral ventilation relation between lung lobes and measuring the quantity, if any, and for localizing elevated air leakages. Chartis system is composed of a catheter set with a transparent balloon tip and a console for evaluation.
